There are eighteen readings and eleven are new essays selected for this edition that include such topics as the schooling of the Hopi Indians at the turn of the century; the Issue of Illegal Mexican Immigration since 1941; Henry George and single tax; the politics of reform in city government during the Progressive era; Al Capone and the Chicago Mob; an analysis of women in film; and an evaluation of Vietnam and the New Revisionists.
