The Age of Innocence
The Age of Innocence — Pop-Up Book Club
Tuesday, August 28th, 2018 at 6PM — LOCATION CHANGE: now at Princeton Public Library

Please note: due to the overwhelming response, we have had to cap registration and registration is now closed.

In advance of the opening of McCarter Theatre Center’s production of Edith Wharton’s The Age of Innocence, adapted by Douglas McGrath, McCarter is partnering with Labyrinth Books and the Princeton Public Library to offer a pop-up book club event to celebrate and explore the novel. This will be great opportunity to meet and engage with our local community of readers, to learn a bit about Edith Wharton’s life and career, and to discuss the reader’s experience of her remarkable Pulitzer Prize-winning work of literature before seeing it brought to life on stage.

This event will also feature Edith Wharton scholar Prof. Meredith L. Goldsmith of Ursinus College, who will add to our appreciation of Wharton’s literary craft, and our understanding of the historical contexts of both the period in which it was written and the period upon which it reflects.

REGISTER HERE for the event; it is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

Need a copy of Edith Wharton's The Age of Innocence? Purchase it from Labyrinth Books in person or online here. Mention this event at checkout if you are purchasing in store to receive your 15% book club discount!

This is a Labyrinth Books, Princeton Public Library, and McCarter Theatre Center joint community partnership event.
