Maya K. van Rossum
Maya K. van Rossum — The Green Amendment
Tuesday, June 26th, 2018 at 6PM — Labyrinth Books Princeton

Labyrinth Books and the Delaware Riverkeeper Network invite you to come hear Maya van Rossum lay out the history of environmental degradation in the US, the legislation that has ultimately failed to address it, and the legal victory that led her to the solution—constitutional amendments that enshrine our right to pure water, clean air, and a healthy environment.

Through a journey of compelling personal stories and economic arguments, van Rossum makes her case and lays the groundwork for a nationwide movement to claim these rights — for our own sake and that of future generations.

Maya K. van Rossum is a veteran environmentalist who joined the Delaware Riverkeeper Network in 1994 as executive director and since 1996 has served as the Delaware Riverkeeper, championing the rights of people to a free-flowing, clean, and healthy Delaware River and its tributary streams. In her role as the Delaware Riverkeeper, Maya has dedicated her life to being the “voice of the Delaware River.” She has taken on industry, government, and even the U.S. Army, preventing harm to the River, communities, and environments she bravely champions.
